A policy to enable the selection of principals and chorus for our current production.

With all our major productions, Open Auditions take place on a Sunday afternoon as soon as possible after the start of rehearsals in September. Information packs are provided nearer the date concerning suitability for parts, including age range, vocal range and acting/dancing ability. This process enables the selection of principals and chorus for the current show.

The term 'Open' simply means that non-members can apply to audition, but we strongly encourage entrants from within the Society itself. The auditions themselves are held in private, usually at the Adult Education Centre, Richmond Road, Grays, in front of a small panel, including the Musical and Stage Directors and in some cases the Choreographer.
